3 Baby Steps to Grow in Outreach

We understand that everyone finds outreach ministries difficult, and often the result is discouragement, intimidation, and fear. Keeping this in mind, I have created a three-step action plan (Welcome, Prayer Walk, Spiritual Talk). Anyone can take part and grow in making a faithful commitment to outreach, which is what Jesus asked in Matthew 28:19–20.

1. Welcome

There are more new guests at our church than ever before, who are discouraged by their own sins, life difficulties, loneliness, and worldly influence and are looking for a grace-filled, biblically based church. Let's welcome them warmly, like Jesus has welcomed us!

2. Prayer Walk

Prayer walking is a special way of praying where you take a walk and talk to God. Instead of just focusing on your own needs, you think about others and pray for them too. It’s like seeing the world through God’s eyes and caring about what He cares about.

3. Spiritual Talk

To have spiritual conversations, you need to pay attention other people's words, gestures, and reactions. It helps you to understand where they are spiritually. Show Christ love, compassion, and grace so they discover truth in Him.

Outreach Testimonials

“As a swim coach, I had a woman contact me about swim lessons. She mentioned she is Muslim and must wear a hijab, full body covering and head scarf. I am praying the Holy Spirit guide my conversations with her and that I may exhibit the gentleness and kindness of my Savior. I hope to nurture a relationship that transcends our differences and provides me an avenue to speak the gospel. Please join me in praying she will come to know Christ."
Cathy Evans
“We are planning to have a Prayer Walk soon. We are prayerfully coordinating the date, time, and location. We cannot wait to see how God uses our prayer. We are confident in Christ and trust him someone will come to know Christ from our neighborhood.”
Brent Thompson
“Last Friday, we enjoyed spending time together at our Pizza & Prayer Night in our neighborhood. We ate, fellowshipped, and prayed for our community. God has already answered our prayer. A couple people from our own community visited our church."
